As an opening to air and light, the window has always symbolized receptivity. Over time, other values and performances have been added. That's why the window should offer the architect the possibility to leave the maximum freedom of interpretation, breaking down those design constraints that could lead to an invasiveness or, on the contrary, to an underestimation of it. A freedom without schemes where the protagonists are the light and the wall.
In this contemporary context, the latest proposal of one of the protagonists of the Window System, Uniform, is acting as major player. From the latest inventions proposed by the company, a prominent place goes to the magis40 line, an open-in model characterized by several significant aesthetic and performance pluses.
magis40, also available in a lifting-sliding model (HS-magis40) and in an open-out model (format38), allows the unprecedented possibility of designing the wall, freeing it from any other disturbing element, making space and light the protagonists of the decor. Its design makes it possible to decide whether the window can take on the role of protagonist or become a more discreet element in the living layout. magis40 encloses and enhances the technology of uni_one and is enriched by very thin wooden profiles, which allow a greater use of external light, without giving up the warmth of the wooden material. In this line, the wooden door, which measures only 40 mm of visible section and the concealed hardware, completely invisible, ensure a minimal and discreet aesthetic appearance, which leaves ample space for the protagonism of the transparent glazed surface. To underline the great technical work carried out to offer an aesthetic equivalence between the fixed element and the opening one, both in the internal and external view, thanks to an exclusive system of concealed locking of the fixed elements patented by the company, as well as the patented sash profile shape.
Thanks then to the installation flush with the wall, which allows to totally hide the wooden frame, magis40 is a particularly suitable solution in new buildings, while in the case of renovation works the use of over-plastered covers allows a great ease of intervention and installation.
With regard to performance, it should be noted that magis40 declares a value of thermal insulation values of Uw=0.72W/m2K, a result that no window with the similar minimal characteristics, in aluminium or in steel, is now able to match. Very high performance levels also for acoustic insulation, wind and water tightness and air permeability. That's why with magis40 it becomes reductive to speak only of a window.
